Easy Potatoes Anna Recipe
Potatoes Anna recipe has just a few ingredients and is very simple. I found this recipe in one of my old cookbooks. Potato comes out crispy on the bottom and on the top and the butter gives great flavor. Golden or russet potatoes are best for this recipe. A great side dish to meat, chicken or other dishes. This dish has another name Pommes Anna and it is a classic side dish, simple and easy to make.

4 medium size potatoes
50 g unsalted melted butter
Salt, Pepper, spices to your taste
1. Peel and slice potatoes very thin. I use a mandoline to slice potatoes. Soak in cold water for a few minutes, then drain. Dry very well with a paper towel.
2. Season with salt, black pepper, and butter each potato.
3. Butter baking dish and line bottom with potato slices. Butter each potato layer with a brush. My skillet is 10.5″.
4. Bake in the oven for approximately 45 min, until potato soft. Bottom of the dish will be crispy like a top of the dish (Photo). Dry off the excess of butter with a paper towel and potatoes Anna is ready to serve.
On the photo, the center I garnished with potato waffles.
