What To Put in Baby Shower Favors Gift Bags for Guests?

With Cute Notes Ideas

Here are a few ideas I like the most, they are affordable and useful ways to say “Thank you!”

  1. Handmade cookies or cupcakes decorated with baby-themed decor. Note idea “May your day be as sweet as these treats!”
  2. Mini Succulents – Plant them in cute mini pots and add a note, “Watch me grow!”
  3. Bags with Seeds – Flower or herb seeds labeled “Plant love and watch it grow!” (make sure to include planting directions).
  4. Small Notepads or Pens – “Don’t forget to write down all the amazing baby advice you’ll be giving us!”
  5. Small Hand Sanitizers or Lip Balms. Note idea “Thanks for celebrating with us!”
  6. Hot Cocoa or Tea Bags a single-serve. Note “Tiny toes, big thanks!”
  7. Mini jars of homemade jam or honey. Message on the jar “Sweet as a baby”

*Purchase items in larger quantities or make yourself to save costs.

1. Easy DIY Baby Booties from Disposable Cups Baby Shower Craft Idea

This is an easy-to-make and budget-friendly disposable cup idea for baby shower favors! Each bootie comes together in just a couple of minutes. We can add more cute details, such as tiny flowers from ribbon instead of a bow. However, additional decor increases the cost. I’ll show you the easiest glue-free method, ensuring the finished booties look neat and complete inside. I am going to show, as an example in my tutorial, the unique baby shower party favors cups for a girl in pink color. However, we can make these booties as gender neutral party favors.

We Need:

2 cups (Size 9 oz)

5/8 inch ribbon**

Scissors

*If you use a bigger cup, use tissue paper as a cover.

**Instead of ribbon we can use a gift curly ribbon.

How To Make Baby Booties from Disposable Cups Tutorial

  1. Place the cup in the middle of the napkin. Roll the second napkin into a ball and place it in front of the cup. Fold 3 sides into the napkin.

2. Fold in the napkin on the front.

3. Tight the bow on the front and the boot is ready. We are going to make the inside of the cup look presentable with the second cup.

4. Cut up 1 inch from the top of the cup.

5. Insert the cup without the top into the boot. The boot inside looks complete and we can fill it with small baby shower favors or candies.

Place a few small items with candies for a fuller gift bootie. This idea is affordable and leaves a lasting impression on your guests!

Cute Touch: Adding Inside Lace to Baby Booties

Add a cute and simple touch to your DIY baby shower favors with a lace effect using a paper doily. I used a 5-inch round paper doily, cut it in half, and placed it inside the bootie for an elegant look. Finish by adding the insert cup for extra support.

It is a small touch but so cute, especially with the white ribbon!

Baby Bootie As Cute Gift Card Holder

The bootie can also be a unique baby shower gift card holder. I put a card in the bootie and it fits in perfectly. Put it in a cellophane gift bag, so the bootie looks visible and it is ready to give as a unique gift!

What We Need:

Paper disposable cup

Paper 5″ doily

Curly ribbon

Scissor

Single hole puncher*

*A puncher isn’t necessary but gives a cleaner, more polished hole for a ribbon. Basic one-hole punchers are affordable, often just a few dollars, and last for years. If you don’t have one, wooden sticks or skewers can work, but a puncher gives a neater, more professional finish.

1. Cut off the top of the cup.

2. Place candies in the cup. Fold the doily in half.

3. Place doily on the top of the cup. Make 2 holes with a hole puncher.

4. Get the ribbon through the holes as I show in the photo and tie the double knot in front.

5. Make a neat ribbon bow. To curl the ribbon, use the dull side of your scissors to gently pull along the ribbon.
