We can turn themed paper napkins into rose decorations. This simple DIY lets you craft beautiful party table decor that perfectly matches your event. As you can see in the photo below, I’ve combined patriotic star napkins with solid blue napkins to form the base of my rose, creating a truly eye-catching display. It’s an easy and budget-friendly way to elevate your party table setting for the 4th of July and impress your guests with unique party table decor!

What We Need:

Stack of square napkins

Deep dish for folding (I used a round plastic container 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 inches tall)

Bowl for display (soup or salad bowl can be used)

*Avoid using paper napkins with a very smooth surface—they don’t hold the rose shape well.

Paper Napkins in Rose In Bowl Step By Step:

Gently fold the paper napkin over the rim of the bowl, placing the center of the rose shape inside the bowl. The visible outer fold becomes the first rose petal. I recommend making the outer petals slightly longer than the center—this adds beautiful volume and dimension to your rose napkin decoration. Gently run your fingers along the top edge of the napkin, pressing it around the rim to create a crisp, secure fold.

2. Continue folding the napkins around the edge of the bowl, making sure each napkin overlaps the previous one to create a beautiful rose.

3. Place the bowl over the napkins. Carefully flip the entire container upside down—this will transfer the rose into the bowl. Lift off the container, and our beautiful rose is ready to display!
