What Can We Use To Make Edible Puppy Eyes and Noses for Buns?

We can create a puppy face on the bun using raisins, canned black beans (a method I’ve seen others use), olives, seeds, or chocolate chips for the eyes and nose. Another option could be small pieces of jerky, though I haven’t tried it myself, but it seems like it would work well. However, the easiest way is to write with an edible food marker.

*We can make a dog face from any bun! Just simply cut ears and make eyes and nose.

How to Make a Bun into a Puppy Face From Dough:

  1. Roll dough in an oval shape. Make 2 cuts on the sides as I show in my photo. This will be dog ears.

2. Attach eyes and nose. I used raisins cut in half each. The cut surface is slightly wet and better stick to the dough. Let rise the dough. Brush with egg york mix and bake.

A good practice to make an extra bun, just in case some eye or nose mix up.

My sandwich bun looks like a doggie face! So cute!

*I placed the salmon burger and spinach inside my bun.
